08.07.2011 – With a pyrotechnic lightshow Slipknot blows away the crowd as they close off the first day of Sonisphere France.

Notes
Photographing Slipknot was definitely one of the hardest shows I’ve ever done. Not because of the band, but by the lack of movement in the overcrowded frontstage. Over 35 photographers gathered in a photopit not widther than 2m/7ft, togehter with crew and security teams it was a tight squeeze. A sea of super tele-zoom lenses, everyone fighting for the best spot, 3 songs that seemed to last only moments.
